Shopping cart - A shopping cart (also called a buggy or a trolley in British English; sometimes referred to as a carriage or shopping carriage in the U.S.

Vermaport - The Vermaport is the trademarked name of conveyor system built by Darrott (Germany) designed to transport shopping carts (shopping trolleys) between floors in a retail establishment. An installed Vermaport system is typically located next to an escalator, moving at a slightly slower speed, so as to allow a shopping cart to be transported alongside, but not ahead of, a shopper as he or she moves between floors.

Self-service - Self Service is the practice of serving oneself, usually when purchasing items. Common examples include many gas stations, where you "pump your own" gas rather than have an attendant do it; most American stores, where you take a Shopping cart through the store, placing the items you wish to buy into the cart and then proceeding to the Check out counter/aisles; or at Buffet-Style restaurants, where you serve your own food from a large, central selection of dishes.
